Fiona Wilton, in Uruguay, puts her zeal into efforts that can restore Earth’s vitality and diversity. From a sea-faring family and growing-up in Cornwall, she has a wonder and reverence for the natural world and a deep-rooted passion for the ocean. Work and life have taken her to reside mostly in South America, working with Indigenous and community-led projects, developing marine conservation initiatives, and mentoring Earth Jurisprudence practitioners. She leads on Sacred Lands and Waters for The Gaia Foundation, and is an active member of the Executive Committee of the Global Alliance for the Rights of Nature (GARN), UN Harmony with Nature knowledge network, and African Earth Jurisprudence Collective.
